Is Bluestone good for toddlers?
Bluestone National Park Resort in Wales is a fantastic family holiday resort, but is Bluestone good for toddlers? In short yes!
Set in 500 acres of Pembrokeshire countryside there is certainly plenty of space for toddlers to run around and explore.
The resort is car-free so you can relax and explore at ease. Bikes with trailers or golf buggies are available to hire if you want help getting around, especially useful when little legs get tired.
A holiday at Bluestone centres around the village. Here you will find shops, restaurants, a coffee house and a historical pub. There are plenty of places for toddlers to roam in the village including Treetops adventure playground and a soft play area. Bluestone has its very own cheeky characters and you will find a range of toddler friendly entertainment happening both in the village hall and throughout the resort.
Dedicated toddler pool
The Blue Lagoon Water Park is always a hit and you will no doubt visit quite a few times during your stay. There is a separate area within the Lagoon for toddlers and younger children called Nippers Cove. It has rock pools, little water fountains and plenty of things to keep little ones happy for hours. If you start to feel peckish during your stay you can get snacks from the poolside snack bar. There is also a shop at the Lagoon which sells all of your swimming essentials, just in case you forget to pack their arm bands.
All-weather play for little ones
The Serendome brings the outside in and lets kids imaginations run wild. Set under a massive transparent roof, it is a lovely area to play even when the weather isn’t great. There are lots of interactive and fun activities including water and sand play, wacky racers (4+)and the Sky walk Mini (3+) course.
Toddler friendly accommodation
All of the accommodation across the resort is toddler friendly with stair gates fitted as standard at the top and bottom of stairs. Highchairs and travel cots are included and you can also request bed guards and children’s cutlery. There are plenty of additional items you can ask for including a cot bedding pack, family hampers and Woody Wilds Stories which consists of 4 books featuring the Bluestone characters as they go off on their adventures – all of the books are aimed at the under 5’s. You can also request a toddler pack when you book, which includes lots of essentials items.
